Jacquard fabrics
As a rule of thumb, knitted fabrics are not elegant fabrics – they are readily associated with sports and home clothing, common accessories, etc. However, jacquard fabrics may be counted among exquisite fabrics. The difference between knitted fabrics and jacquard fabrics consists in jacquard designs not being applied on the finished material, but woven of coloured threads in the production phase. Designs made this way are both colourful and solid.
Using various methods, we can produce jacquard fabrics not only featuring various motifs and colours but with additional structural dimension – where such motifs and colours are concave or convex. Another popular method is the integration of gold or silver thread for added effect.
Possible applications of jacquard fabrics
Jacquard fabrics are used mostly in the manufacture of leisure jackets, skirts and dresses, children’s clothing, blouses and accessories. In the furniture industry they are used as upholstery material. In addition, jacquard fabrics make a great base for all kinds of interior decoration items – bed throws, decorative cushions and covers, even tablecloths.
In our jacquard fabrics we use various kinds of fibres. It may be 100% cotton or wool fabric. In order to improve flexibility, we add a few percent of elastane fibres. We may add metallic thread (golden, silver or other) as a decorative motif.
In the manufacture of jacquard fabrics we use designs from our own extensive database, but we are open to using customers’ designs and colours.
