TOPMAT topper

10001 TOP MAT is a static anti-bedsore mattress topper with high air permeability.

This anti-bedsore topper is made using the package of spacer fabrics made of synthetic yarns. The spacer package was used on purpose – to maximize evenness of surface support of the resting human body. The reason behind the application of spacer fabrics is that as opposed to commonly used foam inserts or spring packages sewn into non-permeable pockets of interlining materials, demonstrating high air permeability. The openwork structure of spacer fabrics ensures almost frictionless airflow within the fabric structure, while keeping suitable rigidity and elasticity. It is well known that the conversion of spot loads into surface load and ensuring permanent, effective and efficient local ventilation have significantly contributed to the prevention of bedsores. Toppers are recommended for hospitalized or home patients immobilized for the duration of therapy/rehabilitation (bedsore prevention). The purpose of such toppers is the prevention of bedsores – it does not cure the advanced effects of existing bedsores.

The composite is produced by combining layers of low profile spacer fabrics enclosed in a protective cover, also made of spacer fabrics, in order to ensure correct air circulation; their structure, however, is less open on the surface in order to maximize evenness of surface (contact) resistance and to improve product aesthetics.

In order to ensure the hygienic comfort, cover fabrics used in the topper are coated with a special appret that provides high hydrophobic properties, thus preventing the ingress of body fluids to the topper interior and soaking the cover with body fluids which has a beneficial effect to the user’s biostatic environment.

Mattress cover

The mattress cover is made of 100% PES (polyester) fabric, weight 175 g. It has a zipper on three sides, to enable easy changing and washing. Available dimensions 90x200x9; 90x200x12. Single package.

With large orders, customers can require treating the cover with silver ion appret providing an antibacterial effect.
