Spacer fabrics
Among the functional fabrics offered by TRANS-TEX there are also spacer fabrics, also referred to as 3D (three-dimensional) fabrics, which feature certain spatial properties. New processes that enable processing and combining diverse fibres enable obtaining extremely practical utility effects. We also use the technology of integrating copper or carbon threads into spacer fabrics. This enables the manufacture of fabrics with antistatic, antibacterial, and other properties.
The most common fabric among them is spacer mesh. This synthetic material features high air permeability and fast drying properties. Those properties, on top of high strength, make it an ideal material for all kinds of backpacks, duffel bags, cases, sports shoes, and as lining in jackets and sports clothing items. Spacer mesh may be provided in uniform colour or with multi-colour designs, as per customer order.
Comfortable bedroom
Typical 3D (spacer) fabrics are two layers of mesh material with fibres in between which length and arrangement determine the thickness of the fabric as a whole. Such a structure gives spacer materials extreme elasticity, so they may be used in furniture industry in production of mattresses, chair and armchair linings and car seat linings. They are also used as the soft lining of backpack interiors, and even in shoes.
The use of 3D fabrics in the manufacture of chairs and mattresses is also determined by their properties other than elasticity. Due to their lack of cohesive structure, they are light, permeable to air, but also, as per customer order, they may also feature antibacterial properties and varying degree of hardness, elasticity and thickness.
It is worth adding that mattresses manufactured using spacer fabrics are much more comfortable to use than spring-based mattresses.
